URUK
Uruk is the city of the legendary Sumerian king Gilgamesh: an urban complex of stairs and squat stone buildings, an architectural landscape of labyrinthine steps.
That typical movement of planes in architecture is also reflected in Sumerian artifacts, with low-relief or high-relief surfaces.
In the Uruk project these elements – the stairs and the movement of surfaces – are fused into five tiles with delicate three-dimensionality. Each tile is an “architectural memory” that, when combined with the others, evokes an archetypal and timeless landscape leading us back to the cradle of our civilization.
Uruk is a dirt-resistant collection suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

“Uruk: five tiles, with a barely perceptible three-dimensionality that explores the archetypal language of Sumerian civilization, a set of “architectural memories” leading back to the cradle of our civilization.”
